BELT - TURKEY

This is a gorgeous and heavy belt. This type of belts is usually coming with a different buckle. At the beginning, I thought that the buckle is a mistake but then I have seen the same in a museum book. The belt end and center elements are inlaid with tiny turquoise and lapis stones. This photo was taken before cleaning. It looks fantastic shiny after cleaning!

  • It is really very beautiful. You have such an amazing collection of belts (also my weakness!). Are the silver pieces threaded over leather?

  • Dear Nada; Many thanks for your comments. Belts for me are the ultimate in terms of expression for men and women alike and I love the big, heavy pieces! The silver pieces here are threaded over a dark grey fabric belt. By the way, this is a men's belt. With kind regards. Peter
