what a beautiful coat, love it!!
This is lovely, Najet. When would it be worn?
It is one of seven costumes worn by the bride for the wedding day
Love birds, khamseh and fish...Spectacular! Traditionally these were made by the women in the family using gold metallic thread. In the colonial era and today, the thread is imported from Lyon, France. There is an active black market for the thread which is sold by the handful. News of available supplies are spread by word of mouth.
