Hi Ann what a lovely and "happy" necklace, did you make it?
Yes, M.A one of my designs. I have been busy over the Christmas period catching up with stocking my necklaces for sale. Have had to make cheaper jewellery, as am now competing with many Chinese beads and bidz.com...........so am using my "resin" beads as well (the other photo). Don't like doing this, but no option if I want to sell.
@Ann yes business is tough now competing with the Chinese is almost impossible........don't lose yourself in using beads you don't like.
Yes, Marie-Ange, good point, which I will remember.
I enjoy mostly the top of the range necklaces I make but these obviously don't sell as well. I am changing direction, given up on one market because of Chinese beads and selling from a gallery which is much more challenging and sells African textiles from my small collection as well, which I enjoy sourcing............retail, ahhhh, what fun.
