This is lovely Eva. But, yes, it looks too heavy to be a hair pin. Could it be a hat pin?
@Thank you Thelma. No, it is not heavy at all, but it could easily fall off from hair... the risk is too big, even when fastening something on the end of the pin. A hat pin is also very possible! I have not thought of that. Yes, it could be a hat pin! I was thinking of wearing it on a jacket collar (after having applied "something" to secure it will not fall off (the "something" I have still to find out). A good idea about the hat! When it is below freezing Point, I usually wear a beret, perhaps I will stick it into the beret (with a security measure) and wear it in winter like that! Thanks for the good idea!
if you ever wear it, please don't lose it, its really unusual...........and I love the butterfly background.
This is another unusual addition to your wonderful hairpin collection (even if using it for the hair isn't feasible). Is there a way to identify the coins?
@thanks a lot, Chantal and Betty. I have no idea of its age (or the age of the coins), perhaps someone here has an idea what coins these could be? Would appreciate any input about them...... !
(the butterfly background is my summer balcony decoration....)
