Ottoman Hairpin Bulgaria Backside

This was sold to me as an Ottoman Hairpin from Bulgaria. Size of the flower approx. 4 x 3,8 cm, made of old coins. I think it is more a pin to wear on a jacket collar (?). Also I dare not to clean it for fear of damage, except the front and back coins.
