Very interesting and well done. Is this an ornament that hangs on the sides of the head? Is this from Oman also?
I have to find the old photos of the one i sold years ago, only had one complete one that was really wonderful. i first saw a set in London , and i think in fact I might have purchased mine on a subsequent trip , was at least 15 years ago or more.
I have not looked at this in a while but it's about the same size as yours is. Yours is in better condition . We only had a few of them appear and when dealers went over seas. Not something so common. This is even a more antiquated style than the Shabka and worn by elderly woman called nis a .
I have seen once a head dress, featuring cones and huge earrings on them - all extraordinarily worked in silver and gold - so stunning. When visiting the shop, I intentionally did not pay much attention to it - only when the seller turned around to pick up something else for me... Later on, I have sent a local friend to ask the price for it. Well, I could have bought a medium sized car for it!!! Anyhow, something to dream of... With kind regards. Peter
