Dear Peter: These look very Caucasian to me and believe I saw some similar earrings in Georgia last year (or possibly in one of the books I bought there). I will have a look tomorrow.

Peter, I had a look at my photos and found a very similar piece used as a pendant. It was once posted by a member who said it was from Dagestan. I am a bit hesitant to post it since it has been deleted in the meantime, but I'll send you a private message.
I also found a vaguely similar earrings in my pictures from Georgia, but they don't have the same granulation:
