Bracelets - Najd Region-Saudi Arabia

3 square and 1 triangular shaped bracelets, hollow with small metal pieces inside, which make a very fine sound when moving. These bracelets are highly unusual when it comes to the shape but in pattern, match the other bracelets, which I have posted before. On these bracelets, the engraving is deeper engraved though. The seller mentioned that they originate from the Bedouins of the Najd region, which is central Saudi Arabia. It is the first time that I came across this shape of bracelets and therefore bought all available pieces right away...

  • Congratulations, Peter. I'm sure one can learn more from a group of bracelets like this than from a single example ... about the nature of these pieces in general. The design seems similar in general but with minor variations... but the triangular one seems quite unusual.
