A lovely old piece, Peter, ... and unusual to be able to open the pendant. Was it sealed like a hirz or can the owner open it at any time?
Dear Peter,What can I say, again such an elegant piece will grace any woman. I do have a pendant like that from Ethiopia, but cannot open, and the bells are smaller. It came hanging attached to the famous large cresent (banana) necklace. GR. Ingrid.
Dear Thelma and Ingrid,
Many thanks for your message. The pendant can be opened. I am attaching below a photo of the opened pendant, which is unfortunately empty.
With kind regards.
Peter
