Bedouin ring - Saudi Arabia

A really beautifully worn Bedouin ring with nice decoration, which cannot be often seen anymore.Bedouin ladies of Saudi Arabia, like other Bedouin cultures in the Middle East, have also been wearing toe rings, which are similar in design but of course much larger, usually featuring an agate stone, coral or substitute red glass/plastic as a center piece, which again is decorated with silver. These are becoming rare but I will get some and post them in due course...

  • Dear Peter, They are striking pieces, and very common amongst the RashAida. I do have quite a collection of these. Bought in the 1980s. All with different details. GR. Ingrid.
