Dear jean-Marie. This is a beautiful belt! The keyhole-like holes are common on such belts. Unfortunately the dangles on the buckle are missing, which is quite often the case with these belts, as this part is the most vulnerable and fragile piece. Anyhow, a magnificently carved belt - I love it! With kind regards. Peter
Thank you, Peter, for pointing out the missing dangles. Indeed, the buckle has three eyelets (invisible on the picture) for dangles. We'll have a search in our box of spare parts; if we are lucky, we'll find fitting material to 'restore' the belt. If we manage, I will post a picture of it in the comments. Best greetings, JM.
