  • A lovely necklace.  Native American?

  • Yes, Navajo. I should have put that on the label. Aguilar, Sr. (Aguilar, Jr. also makes jewelry) jewelry is very collectible. His pieces are readily identifiable by the single red coral element present in all of his work.

  • Oooops! Aguilar is Santo Domingo Pueblo...not Navajo. Santo Domingo recently changed to Kewa.

  • Very interesting, I just read a quick bio and it says he was heavily influenced by middle eastern jewelry while stationed in Iran as a US solider.

  • Dear Keith; One thing is sure, the red coral bead is making the entire necklace! Very nice indeed. With kind regards. Peter
