Very pretty, Frankie!
A surprise find at my local flea-market previously acquired from Tibetans at Anjuna market Kerala a few years ago. The belt is a recent addition. I apologise for the quality of the photo. I really must replace my camera, its` range is so restricted. The buckle is worked with much more detail than is shown.
The previous owner returns to Anjuna yearly but can no longer find anything that interests her.
What you say, Frankie, about the previous owner no longer finding interesting things is the common story these days among people who even just a few years ago still did manage to do so. It's a frightening pattern, and does not bode at all well for collectors. The more congratulations to you for snapping this up, and one does get a decent impression from the photo. I am a beginner myself, so soon impressed! In seriousness, it looks a lovely object, and you did well to get it.
