  • Hi Frankie, these are far more recent than the Veneti an trade beads, I am sorry to say that these were made in the last decade in the east. Likely India... The Moroccan traders however love them!

    Sx

  • Hi Sarah! Should I bring them with me then? Or do the Moroccan traders only sell them?

  • I suspect you may be able to trade them for something nice I always get asked to bring kilos of them!!

One trader is especially interested in learning the differences..

    No harm to bring them......!!

  • So pretty! Like candy on a string.

  • Thank you ,Preethi, they are at least decorative. And very substantial. But I should change the title.

  • all these beads are made very recently in India, even the pitted one that imitates coral...

you have a nice variety on your string...

  •  Thanks for you comments on both strings of beads, Stefany. I had not even suspected a coral imitation.
