Sirkam from Sumatra

A gilt silver comb from Sumatra. According to Carpenter, these are found in Lampung, but are manufactured by the Minangkabau in West Sumatra (p. 125). The comb is adorned with applied wire filigree, and granulation. One side is set with colorless translucent stones (probably glass, but could also be white topaz).
