  • Dear Lynn; Many thanks for your comment. You are right, the belt is Trabzon, same as the one, I have posted earlier today. Both are of exceptional high quality and both have been sourced in Bulgaria. Do you remember the silver woven, heavy gold plated belt which I have posted some months ago (I bought it as a "Chinese Belt")? This particular belt featured the same stone arrangement as these beauties. Everybody agreed that it would originate from North Africa. My guess is that this is a one of a kind belt, specially manufactured for someone, using the same techniques as was used in my other belt.... It definitely was not commonly worn in the Balkan states... with kind regards. Peter
  • Dear Lynn; By the way, did you notice the inscription on the end latch? This is the same style as used on some North African bracelets....
