  • Ait, no idea. Was In Ghardaia last  probably about 15 years ago, cant remember which month...........Stones? vegetables?

  • chantal. as i said, you can recognise it only if you were in march or april there. it is the famous terfez from ghardaia and oase region. a kind of truffles but not high quality. we eat it with couscous or in omelette like champignon

  • carry you are right. they are actualy in all sahara to find. it is more or less from area and other, depending also from the saison weather and rain. some tastes like potato some taste like champignon with a bit nut

  • .-)  marie ange. this is more like champignon ao vegetable tasting than delikatess. still, it is expensive for the local population.it is between 4 and 6 euro kilo

  • Are these truffles?  They harvest them in the cork tree forests near Rabat in Morocco.

  • yes hillary t is an art of truffles but not the delikatess ones. they are like champignons with nut tast
