The enamelled back of the bowl of a Russian spoon, late 19th c. This type of decoration also occurs, with variations, in the Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as having made an impact wordlwide, as Russia was seen as the top of the tree, in enamelling, at that time.

joost. verry nice. yes one time russia was verry in top in this work. they still make verry good jewelry but the trend there,also like every where als, goes to new jewelry and bignames manufacturer

joost. this photo reminds me of an mineral fair where i saw some old russia work and had the luck and opportunity to visite a faberge exhibition there. it is amazing the moemnts i spended there and what i was contempling
