Yes, I thought they were quite good examples of what will be a type of phenolic resin looking the part of amber. I have rubbed them frantically in vain hope. They refuse to build up any static charge.
No they are realy faux but pretty looking and nice large beads too.

Yes, Ann, they were from eBay. I think you can still find them, probably at inflated prices now. I`m thinking of selling these when I get home in October.

Certainly I will. But postage to Aus. would be a lot. I could hang on to it till your next UK visit, if that`s preferable.
