    Shawl and headdress look to be similar to Imilchil styles to me, Not sure the jewels fit the region though!

  • She is indeed multi-bejeweled.
  • i would guess this lady is from the "ZEMMOUR" the closest middles atlas berber to costal areas where these khamsas were worn.

     

    In any case, the woven cape "Handira" and the headress is from the middle atlas but the "salamander" khamsa is of an outstanding quality.....i can't even think of any jeweled khmasa kepte in famous collections

  • Thanks for shedding some light on this one... The salamander Khamsa is indeed divine and so unusual with the inset cabachons.
