Ornament in the shape of a kindjal (dagger) with a curved blade. To be hung on a silver belt for women. From the Caucasus, ca. 1900. Steel, with silver-inlaid floral motifs (flowers, leaves, tendrils); identical on both sides. The top of the hilt features a sheep's head. Length: 16.2 cm. Purchased in Istanbul in 1998.
