  • Irresistible : is the only word that straddles my togue whenever i get to see a nielloed piece from the Caucasus.
  • Thanks Alaa. I must confess that I keep buying Caucasian niello work that is halfway affordable, especially after learning that there are very few people left in the Caucasus who still master this technique.

  • Gorgeous. I can only agree with both of you. Congratulations Betty. Peter
  • Betty, these are fabulous earrings!!  I know you don't wear pierced earrings but do you ever wear clips?  I have some very heavy Uzbek earrings that I thread into removable clips to wear and it works well.

  • Yes Lynn, that's exactly what I do! I have worn these first with simple screw back tops (but they were brass-colored and I did not like that so much) and now with some simple Mexican style silver clips. they look quite impressive when worn and they are not too heavy.
