Also Rashaida women appear to be a nearly identical piece to wear!
I guess this could be worn by Rashaida but I have never seen superfine work like this in the Rashaida pendants, so that was probably made in Yemen and it is probably worn by Bedouin people which could be any number of people throughout Eastern Africa and the Gulf.
I have an exact copy of this koran box from Ethiopia, and also the barrel beads. Worn by moslem ladies of Eastern Ethiopia, (like Hararque, Djibouti and of course the Rashaida. Your necklace has its origine in Yemen I think , because they way it is strung with the black corral,silver inly beads used.
