  • Dear Peter, this is an extraordinary example which looks quite early to me, no later than the mid 19th century.  I love everything about it, from the fine filigree to the jewels to the amuletic shapes dangling from it.  If you are getting all your packages delivered to your home, going home must be like going to a treasure trove! Congratulations!!

  • Dear Lynn; Many thanks for your message. As a member of our family, who recently visited my home and saw the packages all building up, mentioned to my mother, it is like a second Christmas... Well, somehow it is. However, I have seen many items before they are shipped. In Jordan for example, Ahmad is keeping some items for over a year or two for me before they are actually purchased and shipped. I believe that Nada has seen the boxes, as she did visit Alaydi (Ahmad) in Amman, who then introduced her to Mrs Widad Kawar. Ahmad knows most of my items in my collection and knows exactly what is missing. Therefore, he keeps adding items to my boxes of which I do not even know about. When visiting him, I keep on discovering items... Just two weeks ago, I selected several fabulous Omani, Yemeni and Dagastan items, which will be shipped at the end of this month and next month... It is a never ending story and I love it... You should definitely visit Istanbul, Jordan and Oman - I can guarantee you that you will love it!!! With kind regards. Peter
