Belt - Karlovo-Bulgaria

This is a fantastic belt, which was not very well taken care of in recent times. The once leather belt was replaced by a cheap synthetic belt. I have removed it and will ask on Monday the shoemaker in town to arrange a new soft leather belt to fasten the individual pieces accordingly. There are traces of gilding and at certain areas there is still the original Niello visible.This belt was worn by married women from Bulgaria's Karakachan tribe.
