Peter, I see Marjorie Ransom attributes these necklaces to the Shihr area of Southern Hadramaut. I have one similar to yours and have always believed that if you counted the pendants, you were able to find the age of the bride. So the bride who wore your necklace would have been sixteen. And the bride who wore mine would have been fifteen. But from Marjorie's photograph, the bride who wore hers would have been twenty nine... rather old at that time. Maybe the pendants can't be relied on.
