  • Extremely beautiful, soulful, and rare old necklace.  Congratulations Peter!  Also from the Iraqi Kurdish lady you are buying from?

  • Yes Lynn. All these pieces are from the same lady. She is planning to emigrate to the USA and sells off her jewelry before. Who knows, maybe you will meet her one day and she still has some of these treasures left! I still have a very large, gorgeous (and expensive) Christian belt, two pair of bracelets, a pair of children anklets and a gorgeous Tepelak to purchase from her (through my dealer in Amman), which I will later this month. When meeting the dealer today, he mentioned that he has not seen these belts, which I have posted before, and some of the other Iraqi Kurdish items for the past 15 years!
Well, it is luck to come across such items... With kind regards. Peter
  • Plenty of "character" here - and I like the solid, almost "chunky" feel. The design is also very good overall. Nice piece!

  • Such a beautiful necklace! Very impressive. I bet it sounds wonderful as the wearer moves...
