Dear Sami and Lynn: Many thanks for your messages. The design is a mosque. But I will need to find out more about it. This piece was actually presented to the Jordan museum but they felt that the cost of it is too high and declined! I have put an eye on it earlier on but when I heard that the dealer wanted to offer it to the museum for purchase, I did not insist as I believe that such treasures should be kept in the country if possible (or in good hands outside of it...).
