Necklace - Hadramaut-Yemen

This is a very large and heavy necklace. Sometimes, such a necklace is one of 3 elements of a larger necklace (I have previously posted a similar one with 3 and an even larger one also with 3 units) but it is also worn single. This piece is heavily inscribed at the back, featuring names but also a date - I assume of manufacture - 1381 (or 1961). Below are the inscriptions, which are distributed over two panels.Special mention must be made also about the woven necklace, holding the huge pendant. It has an incredible soft touch and is very flexible, which shows the great skills of the maker.A very special dowry piece!
