    could fix, it's just one string that is broken/undone, but I'm afraid to do it badly (with a too new cord ...) ...

    @Rami Mohamed : :-D .... sure !!! :-)))) but I'm always so "full of respect" with old jewelry that I remain like paralysed ......

    @Patricia Deany : the shell is huge and HEAVY, but the carnelian beads, & the shell beads are beautiful too !

    yes, for me too jewelry is to be worn (I always wear my jewelry !)but this necklace is VERY HEAVY !! so cords must be very well strung ......

    An excellent piece which should definitely be repaired - but properly so, not in amateurish fashion. You are - and remain - lucky to have got it.
