The type of manufacture of the end pieces on this Omani necklace is pretty much the same as featured on the Armenian belt.

    You are right, could it be that the belt you posted underwent some "arrangements" by middle eastern former owners or dealers?!

    Dear Ala'a; Many thanks for your message. As mentioned, I have seen the same (pretty much identical - with different Niello designs though) with another collector. However, she did not know the very exact origin either. Hence, the belt has not been tampered with - it is a traditional design. With kind regards. Peter
