  • 2506039613?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024I'll have a go. But is this allowed? From Denmark? Bought on a rainy summer Saturday 30 years ago. I like this shouty pendant. I like its exuberance and the way its padded silver tentacles draw you in closely to the lovely banded amethyst. I like its power to provoke normally reticent people into conversation with comments like 'What is THAT?', 'Amazing' 'Where did you get it?'. A great icebreaker.

  • 2506005647?profile=originalOk kicking it off with this ring made by Faouzi...loving wearing this one at the moment

    Sx

  • Hey Thelma definately allowed and definately a beauty x

  • Since I find it impossible to choose one favourite item - my fickle mind usually just concentrates on the last one I bought. So I`m going to show the necklace and bracelet I most enjoy wearing together:-2506008982?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024The necklace is the Akka/Tata one that introduced me to quite a life`s ethnic jewellery journey - an adventure I wouldn`t be without now for worlds. The bracelet is from Tibet?Nepal and shows Chepu "of the beautiful face" doing his best to guard the owner from danger.

  • These two are my favourites:  I can't choose between the two - the blue one is very easy to wear and has some fabulous silver in it - it is eye catching - the amber one whilst also being eye catching is my most stunning, I think.  The silver in both remind me of Morocco, of my fabulous time over there and the influence that the Berbers had on my designing ability.  I have to thank them for that........

  • Delicious itemems from all three of you. What I like is the diversity of them all, reflecting the diversity of ethnic jewellery as a whole.

I think Faouzi`s ring looks amazingly Kazakh. it even seems to have the gold wash.

  • @ frankie.
    Spot on.
Kazakh button with harratine hair ring. I fell in love with it as soon as i saw it. X
  • I don`t blame you, Sarah. It`s right up my street, too!
