Thanks Betty! Yes, mine looks very similar to your pair. The silver panels near the hinge put me in mind of the Syrian Deir el Zor bracelets as well though. And the coin is Ottoman. Which could make Egypt a possibility I suppose.

The borders, with their configurations and finesse, suggest Yemen to me. But that is just a guess, for I have not seen a Yemeni piece quite like it. Still, I veer in that direction.
