Beautiful Howah. You beat me to these! congratulations. Have you got any reasons to doubt the attribution?
Hi Chantal, it seems to be quite common for EJ members to be competing for the same things on ebay! I bid on these because I simply fell in love with the design and didn't care too much about whether these are really from the 16th century and from the Al Andalus culture or not like the seller claims. So it's not about doubting the seller's description, but more an attempt to find out more about this type of jewelry. I was hoping someone here could give a little more background information so I might learn/gain some insight on jewelry worn during that period in time.
So did I! (fall in love with the design (I dont usually "do" buttons.). I thought these were wonderful. Glad you got them . Yes, it would be great to have more info. But they seem quite antique.... Little treasures....
