Helmet - ID Please

This is a very unusual piece! It is an, in my opinion, very old helmet in copper and brass with some sort of enamel. It features Islamic pendants (crescents & flowers). The inside of the helmet is quite interesting as well. The seams (triangular), which were necessary to form the metal into the helmet shape, have been somehow decorated with a nice pattern. Hence, it was not crudely done. Three of the filigree brass domes are missing but that does not disturb. It is interesting, the filigree domes as well as the bottom frame are kept in brass, while the top dome and decorations are in copper. The base on which the copper/brass decoration has been soldered on, could be steel or another non-precious metal.Any suggestions are welcome as always.
