Hello Peter, this is a very interesting piece, which (in my opinion) rather originates from Central Anatolia than from eastern Turkey. Both the type of money hat, as this use of beads point in that direction. What is/are the reason(s) that make(s) you label it as 'eastern Turkey'?

This one looks in excellent condition Peter. Even the strings of beads are in one piece. Did this come from a private collection?
Dear Thelma; Many thanks for your comments. I purchased this piece in Istanbul from a silver smith. His shop was actually quite messy and when he saw me looking at a head decoration, he brought my attention to this piece. Well, I could not resist.... With kind regards. Peter
