Head Cover - Eastern Turkey

This beauty is 1,800 grams heavy. This is my second such head cover in my collection. The other unit is magnificent as well (posted some months ago on EJ) but lighter as it does not feature all these beads, covering the layers of coins.

  • Hello Peter, this is a very interesting piece, which (in my opinion) rather originates from Central Anatolia than from eastern Turkey.  Both the type of money hat, as this use of beads point in that direction.  What is/are the reason(s) that make(s) you label it as 'eastern Turkey'?
