This is really very special, It is seldom that the silversmith takes this effort. I do have over a thousand telsums and perhaps only 4 or 5 pcs. with such lovely and skilled sides. A treasure@ Betty

I was very happy when I found it and did not even have to pay a fortune :-)
Apart from Eva's big silver hair comb, this is actually the only hairpin with this side decoration I have ever seen. It certainly adds to the elegant and delicate air of these pieces, though I have the feeling they might be of a more recent date.
I only have one telsum with this sort of decoration - will post a pic when I get time tonight...
