Qing Dynasty Chinese. The blue is probably kingfisher feather applique. Jade and carneilan, coral beads with floral motifs; lovely!

Well, i noticed that Hillary says they are Chinese, but they are probably for the same reason as the Japanese. Anyway, the Kanzashi are another interested ethnic item to contemplate.
