  • Love the red garnet or glass- makes it different!

  • Dear Preethi; A stunning piece! I am still wandering around here in Saudi Arabia, trying to find a shop that actually offers such Saudi jewelry. After Eid Al Adha, I will be visiting Riyadh as we are operating as well a fancy Indian Restaurant by a Michelin star Chef there, same as here in Al Khobar. I will continue my search there.... With kind regards. Peter

  • Thanks Hillary and Peter. Hillary, I believe it's garnet - it's a rich deep red.

Peter, how exciting! I would love to hear more about your Saudi jewellery hunt. From what I've heard, there's not much left in the country - melted, sold and replaced by gold and diamonds. But I hope that's not the case, and that you unlock a few treasure chests! Please keep us posted.

Almost all the Saudi jewellery I own come from Paris, including this treasure.

  • Splendid and original piece, Preethi. So much more interesting than the later replacements in gold. Someone must have been very attached to it.

  • Absolutely wonderful piece Preethi.

  • This is truly beautiful, Preethi, and the picture is superb.
