Love the red garnet or glass- makes it different!
Dear Preethi; A stunning piece! I am still wandering around here in Saudi Arabia, trying to find a shop that actually offers such Saudi jewelry. After Eid Al Adha, I will be visiting Riyadh as we are operating as well a fancy Indian Restaurant by a Michelin star Chef there, same as here in Al Khobar. I will continue my search there.... With kind regards. Peter
Thanks Hillary and Peter. Hillary, I believe it's garnet - it's a rich deep red.
Peter, how exciting! I would love to hear more about your Saudi jewellery hunt. From what I've heard, there's not much left in the country - melted, sold and replaced by gold and diamonds. But I hope that's not the case, and that you unlock a few treasure chests! Please keep us posted.
Almost all the Saudi jewellery I own come from Paris, including this treasure.
Splendid and original piece, Preethi. So much more interesting than the later replacements in gold. Someone must have been very attached to it.
Absolutely wonderful piece Preethi.
This is truly beautiful, Preethi, and the picture is superb.
