Toya, Hillary did well. Tastefully displayed. All beautiful and top quality , three bracelets could be Ethiopian but most probably she got them from Yemen?
Realy top items. Gr. Ingrid.
Hillary is definetely bringing her selected stock to a new level!! Congratulate her on my behalf if you still happen to be there!
Well, well, well - this is looking great! I especially love the niellod pendant at the bottom right - an absolutely magnificent piece - WOW. Where is it from? Van? This is definitely my favorite despite the beautiful Yemeni, Omani and other beauties. With kind regards. Peter
indeed one of Hillary's top pieces!
Although Toya i think it is rather mother of pearl as dangles. can you confirm?
The caucasus seem a possible origin or somewhere around eastern turkey!
Yes, mother of pearl on the dangles.
I admired this piece and held it for a while. It has a wonderful sense of age and there is an energy to it. I love pieces like this which seem to have a story to tell. Hillary will have more information for us.
I believe that the niello piece is Caucasian, possibly Uzbek based on the mother of pearl dangles with wire-wrapping style. It opens from both sides. I think the top chain has been added. I've seen these only a few times before. I will try to post more photos once the show is over.
