    I thank this site, founder and contributers for teaching me to identify such items. Especially when the seller I think thought it was just a rather rough old ethnic necklace of some kind.

    It`s lucky that the granulation has protected what might be gold wash beneath it.

    Frankie, you HAVE to win the prize for the best buys from ebay......how do you do it?  Maybe there should be a competition.

    Its fabulous!

    When I was in Addis I never managed to buy any telsums as nice as these, the granulation is superb, and the religious prayer might still be inside.

    Nice find...usually there is a gold wash and the thread is also gld or silver wire
