Hi Michel, The coin is actually from Ethiopia. The language is Amharic and the script is Ethiopic, though I'm not sure if it's Fidel or Ge'ez. The lion is the "lion of Judah". It is often said to represent Jesus in Christianity (and thus widely used by the Ethiopian Coptic Church), though it has meanings in Judaism as well in regards to the tribe of Judah.
