Great review of Truus Daalder's book!

LATEST AMAZON REVIEW, by James Cole, of Truus Daalder's *Ethnic Jewellery and Adornment*:"This remarkable book is an eye-opening window on the wonderful world of ethnic jewelry and adornment, and has been put together with obvious love and attention to detail. The necklaces, bracelets, headdresses, hats, earrings, nose piercings, bags, armbands, hairpins, and body ornaments are beautifully photographed, and the text is crisply written, clear, and informative. The presentation, binding and paper are first rate, and the book is worth every penny as the most impressive book of it's type I have seen."To see more about the book, please go to its website, www.ethnicartpress.com.au, where you may also buy it at the most advantageous price anywhere, directly from Truus herself.

  • It looks from its table of contents that it is an interesting book as it gives details of ethnic jewellery from various parts of the World. I am sure that these types of books which are not very common will serve the various cultures and people who are interested in cultures of the World and their varieties... I am mainly interested to know what was written and illustrated in the last chapter on Africa. Thanks for posting this brief on the book.

  • Thank you very much for your thoughtful comment, Mustafa!

  • I bought the book at the launch in Adelaide and love it!  Great photography of an extraordinary collection with very informative writing on individual pieces, historical and ethnic background.
