Here the sides of the better craftsmanship telsums. They took great pride in their work and also decorated the sides. Even on the very old and worn ones you will see the traces of this.

Later: I looked at the sides, some have this, but only few. The guilded ones e.g. do not have this side decorations

That is right Eva Baby, there the work is concentrated on the front, not often too carefully done either, and therefore the one with delicate workmanship are noted to be outstanding.
