Beautiful pendant! ist the basket also from Ethiopia? (Both are very nice!!!) THe pendant seems to have wonderful detail work!
The baskets are the famous Harrar baskets.(Ethiopia)These are the antique ones. Male and female. Kept on the walls as decoration but also put over the food when served on large or medium platters.
They are a little bit like the Moroccan ones. Can those baskets also ver large? And yours is
much nicer decorated than my Moroccan one. And now I see your bascet does not have a bottom. So I might be wrong in seeing any similarity.

These baskets (male top one and female) are to cover the food and not to put food in. Those also exist but these are also for wall decoration when not in use.
