Lots of yummy beads.........how lucky we are.
nice beads and beautifel pendents too. the tuareg amulet ( hirz ) are nice. the kabyl adrim is good quality, i have almost the same
This is an unusual warm color collection of beads, and interesting pendants. I bet you cannot wait to get started combining them. The Axum (Ethiopian X) is one of a different period after the lost wax system. This X was made as follows: On a flat piece of silver or gold, they stamp a blue print of the cross designed than they saw it out with a hand figure-saw. sanding it down and than edged in on one or both sides. Maybe you knew this already if not I hope you found this interesting info. Gr. Ingrid.
Ait hi, I didn't realise the kabyl is called kabyl adrim, Thanks for that information.
Ingrid hi, the Ethiopian Cross is a new one (just sold it an hour ago) and great to hear how it was made. How interesting! how time consuming.........but I should have known as I do silversmithing.
All these necklaces are made up, I just popped them on to the mannequin and took a picture.
Thanks for that Ait, I can see it is a coin, from the backside of the adrim. I am always in awe at how clever and inventive peoples of this world are, and it doesn't matter where they come from.
