nice tcherot. i think it is brass more tham bronze
spectacular piece, i will saymali too. could be a hunter tcherot. the stars are symbol of group of hunters, the snakes represent the intelligence and wisdom related to warriors or hunters

Thanks a lot Toya and Rabah. I meant brass actually, not bronze. Two of the corners (top right, bottom left) are copper as is the very center. Interesting to know about the star and snake symbols. As I said I know very little about this kind of jewllery, I just likes the patina and overall balance of this piece. Any further info is most welcome.
I have one very similar, which I bought many years ago. Mine is from the Niger republic, but smaller (approx. 9 cm the longest Dimension) and it is brass with copper and White metal.
