Rear view of a festive costume with ‘bindallı entari & cepken’ (embroidered robe and long vest). Late-Ottoman, urban fashion, from Konya, circa 1800. Adorned with goldwork embroidery on velvet, minuscule golden spirals and small copper sequins. Embroidery technique: ‘sarma’ / ‘Maraş işi’. (Kavak Costume Collection - Antwerpen/Belgium).
