  • Fantastic Piece!

  • Oh my!! This is the belt from Israel, is it not Peter?  Absolutely gorgeous and so complete.  Congratulations Peter!

  • Dear Eva and Lynn; Many thanks for your comments. Yes, it is the belt, which I have acquired on an auction in Israel. It is very difficult to obtain such quality pieces from Yemen nowadays. From my contacts in Yemen, I understand that a majority of the silver jewelry has been brought back to the villages as Sana'a was not deemed safe anymore. What a shame. Yemen, together with Ethiopia, is by far the most beautiful and interesting country, which I have visitted. With kind regards. Peter
